Sporting AZ FC Captures Arizona Premier League Title

PHOENIX, AZ (June 12, 2023) - Fernando Vidal put the finishing touch on a league title.

Vidal scored in the second half to lift Sporting Arizona FC to a 1-0 victory over Arizona Sahuaros on Saturday, June 11, in the Arizona Premier League season finale at Pecos Park in Peoria.

Irbyn Cortez won the ball and carried forward to create the opportunity for Vidal, who scored the 32nd and final goal of the season for Sporting Arizona FC (9-1-0 overall), which finished on 28 points.

The club, on its way to once again becoming the top amateur side in the 48th state, went 5-0-0 its home at Gateway Park in El Mirage this season.
